THE RPL PLATFORM

The RPL Platform is a modular offering of cloud-based post production solutions that bring flexibility, performance and efficiency to workflows ranging from pre-production through delivery. Each solution leverages RPL's fault-tolerant private cloud, ultra-fast 10Gb connectivity, and secure transport using PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards to ensure reliability and enable exceptional user experiences.

RPL Edit

RPL Edit leverages RPL's private cloud and high-performance workstations — running Avid or Adobe applications — to provide a hybrid on-prem/remote editing solution that enables full collaboration between team members, no matter where they are located. Editors and producers working remotely enjoy picture, audio and system response identical to that of a traditional editing bay.

RPL Archive

Through RPL Archive, users can store camera masters and other high-res assets in the best model for their project needs, whether for continuous access or for the long term. Because RPL Archive is high-speed and compatible with any platform, users can quickly archive to hard drive, LTO tape, RPL’s private cloud or any public cloud. The solution is efficient, flexible and completely customizable.

RPL Finish

Companies working with RPL Archive or RPL Deliver can leverage RPL Finish to establish a remote finishing workflow for online and offline teams. RPL Finish allows both teams to use the same platform for color correction, with real-time updates and continuous color accuracy ensuring efficient collaboration.

RPL Deliver

RPL Deliver gives producers of scripted and reality-TV projects a solution for creating dailies in offline or mezzanine formats, transcoding masters into all necessary deliverable formats, and delivering the resulting outputs via high-speed internet transfer to all required distribution outlets. The solution can also be used to receive and conform footage prior to editing.

RPL VFX

RPL VFX takes advantage of RPL's private cloud and high-performance workstations to give VFX teams remote access to the media, cuts and sequences in the current edit workflow. Because footage is exchanged at high speeds, the process is seamless, allowing distributed teams to maintain a flexible, efficient workflow across VFX and editorial.

Any of these RPL Platform modules can be implemented as a stand-alone solution or with other modules as part of a larger post-production workflow. RPL works closely with customers to customize just the right solution for every project, as well as to scale the solution to address new additions to the creative team, increased processing demands, and other changes to the collaborative work environment.
